Program

Finland is a country best discovered slowly — through silence, light, forests, lakes, and the warmth of its cultural traditions.

Day 1 – Arrival in Helsinki

Arrival at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport and transfer to your hotel. After check-in and tour orientation, enjoy a welcome dinner and a relaxing free evening to begin discovering the atmosphere of the Finnish capital.

Day 2 – Helsinki: Nordic Design and Seaside Culture

Spend the day exploring Helsinki, where contemporary Nordic lifestyle meets historical elegance. Highlights include the iconic Temppeliaukio Church, Senate Square, the impressive Uspenski Cathedral, and the lively Old Market Hall. The itinerary can be personalized with optional stops according to your interests, from design boutiques to museums and waterfront cafés.

Day 3 – Tampere: Sauna Tradition and Industrial Heritage

Morning transfer to Tampere, Finland’s second-largest city and the heart of Finnish sauna culture. Discover its fascinating industrial heritage through a walking tour of historic districts, the market hall, Tallipiha, and the charming wooden houses of Amuri. In the afternoon, enjoy the possibility of experiencing an authentic lakeside sauna surrounded by Finnish nature. Optional excursions to the lakes and countryside villages of the Häme region can also be arranged.

As the journey moves north into the Finnish lake region, landscapes become quieter, wider, and deeply connected with local life and design.

Day 4 – Jyväskylä: Alvar Aalto and the Finnish Lake Region

Continue towards Jyväskylä, a vibrant university city and the birthplace of Alvar Aalto. Explore the architectural legacy of Finnish functionalism while discovering a city immersed in the stunning lake landscapes of Central Finland. Guests may choose (optional) to relax in a floating sauna on Lake Päijänne, enjoy a scenic cruise, or dine aboard a traditional restaurant boat.

Day 5 – Hämeenlinna: Medieval Finland

Travel south to the historical town of Hämeenlinna, home to one of Northern Europe’s most beautiful medieval castles. Surrounded by lakes and greenery, the city offers a peaceful atmosphere rich in Finnish history and culture.

Day 6 – Return to Helsinki Through Finnish Artistic Heritage

The return to Helsinki offers one last opportunity to experience the balance between Nordic creativity, nature, and everyday wellbeing that defines Finnish culture. Enjoy free time for museums, local cafés, design districts, and shopping in the lively Boulevardi and Kamppi areas.

On the way back, an optional stop at Tuusulanjärvi offers the opportunity to visit the former homes and studios of some of Finland’s most celebrated artists and composers, including Jean Sibelius and Pekka Halonen.

Day 7 – Departure
